This Yucatan-style olefin hammock is handmade in Canada with the olefin rope made by the manufacturer to ensure the quality of the hannock. The rope is treated for mildew, rot and UV protection. The bed of this hammock, as with all good quality hammocks, is made with one piece of rope so there are no knots to disturb your comfort.
The idea here is that you lie either crosswise (as shown) or diagonally in the hammock. If you lie horizontally the hammock will fold in over you. This hammock is quite comfortable as lying crosswise lets you move around a bit.
A Yucatan-style hammock is an excellent choice for camping and other locations where there is limited space for spreader bars.
We make the Yucatan-style hammock 72" wide so it is wide enough for you to lie in crosswise.
There is a lot of rope in this hammock, so we make it out of durable but relatively lightweight olefin.
